With the Advalytix Single Cell Analysis Kit, the presence or absence of genetic material from every human chromosome can be checked. This fast and reliable amplification-based test ensures reproducible results even within the narrow time frames of in vitro fertilisation. If the polar body test indicates a missing chromosome in one of the polar bodies the oocyte is expected to be trisomic. Therefore, by checking the presence of all chromsomal sequences in both polar bodies the chance of having a trisomic oocyte is significantly reduced.
